未来のえいでんアートプロジェクト
Eiden Art Project "Departing for the Future"
2025年の秋、叡山電車は開業100周年を迎えました。これを記念して、沿線に位置する京都芸術大学と京都精華大学の2つの美術大学と連携し、学生と作家による作品を叡山電車の各駅で展示する「未来のえいでんアートプロジェクト」が開催されています。
私たちのスタジオでは、本プロジェクトのビジュアルアイデンティティ全体を担当しました。参加団体それぞれのロゴカラーを、協働の象徴として一本の連続した色の帯にまとめ、その帯がカーブを描きながら「次の100年」へ向かって流れていく——そんな視覚的な動きを中心に据えたデザインとしました。
もう一つの重要な意図は、紅葉シーズンで最も賑わう叡山電車のホームでもしっかりと存在感を示し、視認性の高いデザインにすることでした。
今回制作したデザインは、ポスター、チラシ、展覧会マップ、作品キャプション、そしてのぼり旗など、多岐にわたります。
Eizan Railway is celebrating its 100th anniversary in autumn 2025. For the occasion, the railway has partnered with the two art universities located along its line—Kyoto University of the Arts and Kyoto Seika University. Together, they launched the Mirai no Eiden art project, which showcases works by students and professionals at every station along the Eizan Railway throughout the season.
We were commissioned to design the overall visual identity for the event, and chose to highlight the collaborative nature of the project. The key visual merges the logo colors of all participating institutions into one energetic flow, pushing forward toward the next 100 years.
Another design priority was to ensure enough visual impact for the posters to stand out on busy platforms during Eizan’s peak season, when many visitors head north to see the autumn leaves.
Our design consists of posters, a flyer and a handout with route map, exhibition captions, and banners.
